Repairing Your Broken Screen with Wood Veneer

"Repair, don't replace" is a pretty big part of the maker community, with people all over the work laser cutting or 3D printing the parts required to fix or upgrade their tech/toys/clothing/etc. When faced with a cracked screen, sailing.schrader decided that rather than replacing the phone (or replacing the screen) they would instead turn it into a feature.

 After carefully cleaning out the shards of glass, they took a photo of the phone, traced the area of damage and laser cut some wood veneer to place into the hole. It's definitely a stylish way to repair a cracked screen! Head over to the Instructable to read more about how this was done.
